Joining a number of my OG frens in the forums here... some of you might have seen me on discord chats. My typical online handle is m3sh. Some might know my "government name" - especially if you go way back and watch the New World Creator program from back in 2023 where I had the honor of being voted the winning submission for naming and describing the eMerging planet of Cieba -- but I'm not going to advertise that here. I live in Western Canada, consider myself an honorary American by nature. What started as degen NFT airdrop hunting turned into a fascination with a franchise concept and a bullish appreciation for the strengths of the underlying team and overall sci-fi narratives that resonate with my own reading and entertainment choices. My gaming preferences are typically in the FPS realm, I'm old school all the way back to dial up modems and playing DOOM2 against friends, on to the introduction of broadband internet and the thousands of hours I've spent playing Quake 2, then Q3, RTCW, and the various entries of the Battlefield franchise. Unio has endless possibilities and I'm excited to see what studios do within this franchise-as-a-service concept. So far, the results are extremely encouraging. In short, I'm here for the fun, I'm here for the tech, I'm here for the franchise's vast scope and innovative approach to web3, and if I make a few bucks on the way with collectors items (god knows I can't compete with the amazing players already hanging around) then all the better! Disappointed to see players purposely play in a grey area in the rules and get rewarded for it. But understandable, glad to see that new rules and enforcement will be in place :D. I think a appeal system and quick decision timing is perfect, always gets messy the longer something stays undecided.2 points

Musik and sound is important for the atmosphere and mood of a game/project. Maybe the community can help by the development with own creations. Theme song and signature tune for the project, game, heroes, in game songs, etc. Some good examples are Lord of the rings and of course Star Wars with the Imperial March as signature song of Darth Vader. I think an in game playlist for example in the weekly would be cool, too. I remember some games with in game playlists with the option to adjust your favourite playlist like NBA2K. I was a great fan of the racing game wipeout and it was cool to chasing best times and lap records on the racing tracks with a good soundtrack matching the kind of the game. The Moon was not a Moon.mp32 points

Why is my name m3sh? Simple - it's a dual purpose homage to two things, one being the mesh of a hockey net (I'm Canadian), and the other being a direct reference to Meshuggah, basically the best metal band in existence. Those that are drummers know of what I speak. In any case - Metal is better. Prove me wrong (not possible). Now go look up "New Millenium Cyanide Christ" on spotify or whatever you use, and settle in for an experience of chaotic rythms that somehow have this mind-bending way of grooving way harder than that Taylor Swift album.1 point
